This web annex provides a collection of practical job aids designed to support health workers participating in training on the clinical management of rape and intimate partner violence (IPV) in humanitarian and emergency settings. As a companion resource to the training curriculum, it compiles tools, checklists, communication guides, assessment forms and reference materials that facilitate survivor-centred, rights-based and trauma-informed care. The materials address key aspects of service delivery, including first-line support using the LIVES approach, active listening, safety planning, referral pathways, risk assessment, clinical examination, injury documentation, forensic evidence collection, mental health assessment and post-exposure prophylaxis for HIV. Special guidance is included for responding to the needs of children and adolescents and for supporting autonomous decision-making among young survivors. The annex aims to strengthen the capacity of health workers to provide comprehensive, empathetic and coordinated care to survivors of sexual violence and IPV during crises. By offering standardized tools for clinical practice, documentation, referral and follow-up, it supports the delivery of quality health services, promotes survivor safety and dignity, and facilitates integration of gender-based violence response within humanitarian health care systems.
