This web annex documents the GRADE evidence profiles and evidence-to-decision (ETD) table derived from the systematic reviews of the effectiveness and acceptability of comprehensive school health services (SHS) conducted to support the WHO guideline on school health services. It describes the evidence appraisal process undertaken by the Guideline Development Group (GDG), summarizes the judgements informing the recommendations, and presents the corresponding certainty assessments using the GRADE methodology. The annex forms part of the guideline’s transparent evidence base and is published in accordance with WHO guideline development procedures. The publication compiles evidence on priority questions related to the implementation of comprehensive SHS, including the magnitude of desirable and undesirable effects, certainty of the evidence, values, acceptability, feasibility and equity considerations. It presents GRADE evidence profiles for critical and important outcomes drawn primarily from non-randomized and observational studies, covering health, educational and behavioural outcomes such as suicide-related behaviours, hospitalizations, emergency department visits, school attendance, academic performance, quality of life, school engagement and health-related behaviours. The annex provides the detailed evidence and GDG judgements underpinning the recommendations in the parent WHO guideline.
