Description
This is a compilation of the technical notes prepared jointly by the WHO Regional Office for South-East Asia and the Water, Engineering and Development Centre at Loughborough University, UK. The notes are part of an initiative to enhance the capacity of emergency and relief staff working immediately or shortly after an emergency to plan and execute appropriate responses to the urgent and medium-term water and sanitation needs of those affected. The notes are relevant to a wide range of geographical and topographic settings, and to various types of natural disasters and complex emergencies.
