This web annex accompanies the WHO Guidelines for the care and treatment of persons diagnosed with chronic hepatitis C virus infection and provides a concise summary of the non-pangenotypic direct-acting antiviral (DAA) regimens that remained available at the time of guideline development. It presents key characteristics of each regimen to support treatment selection where pangenotypic options are unavailable or cannot be used. The annex summarizes genotype coverage and compares important clinical considerations, including suitability for use in individuals with renal insufficiency or decompensated cirrhosis, as well as the potential for clinically significant drug–drug interactions. The publication includes summary information on the regimens sofosbuvir/ledipasvir, grazoprevir/elbasvir, paritaprevir/ritonavir/ombitasvir plus dasabuvir, and simeprevir/sofosbuvir. By presenting these characteristics in a standardized comparative format, the annex facilitates interpretation of the treatment options discussed in the parent guideline and supports informed clinical and programme decision-making in settings where non-pangenotypic regimens continue to be used. Published for transparency purposes, it complements the WHO guideline by providing a practical reference on the principal features and limitations of these antiviral combinations.
