Subungual keratoacanthoma is a benign neoplasm of the nail bed that has been rarely reported in dogs. The radiographic appearance of subungual keratoacanthoma has been described; however, computed tomography findings remain unreported. This case describes the computed tomography findings of a 7‐year‐old, male, neutered greyhound with a subungual keratoacanthoma of the distal phalanx of Digit 4 of the right hindlimb and describes the usefulness of computed tomography scans in the context of lameness work‐ups. The patient was referred for investigations of a chronic right hindlimb lameness and an enlarged right popliteal lymph node. On clinical examination, there was pain associated with the distal interphalangeal joint of Digit 4. Computed tomography revealed abnormalities of Digit 4 of the right hindlimb. The ungual process, and most of the ungual crest of Digit 4 of the right hindlimb, appeared lytic. Surgical amputation and histopathology of the affected digit identified a subungual keratoacanthoma.
