This web annex accompanies the World Health Organization guideline on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of infertility and presents evidence-to-decision tables supporting recommendations and good practice statements related to infertility prevention. The document evaluates interventions aimed at improving reproductive health knowledge and reducing modifiable risk factors associated with infertility. Topics addressed include provision of fertility and infertility information to the general population, preconception lifestyle advice for people with infertility, brief tobacco cessation advice for tobacco users planning or attempting pregnancy, and information on sexually transmitted infections and their relationship to infertility. The annex summarizes available evidence, certainty assessments, implementation considerations and contextual factors relevant to public health and clinical practice.
