This adaptation and implementation guide supports the delivery of the World Health Organization’s Caregiver Skills Training (CST) programme for families of children aged 2–9 years with developmental delays or disabilities. The guide outlines the purpose, structure and core components of the training package, which is designed to enhance caregivers’ skills and promote children’s development, particularly in social communication and behaviour. It describes a course delivered through group sessions and home visits by trained non-specialist facilitators, emphasizing accessibility in diverse settings, including low-resource contexts. The document provides detailed guidance on adapting the training materials and delivery strategies to local cultural, linguistic and socioeconomic contexts while maintaining fidelity to core evidence-based components.
