Abstract
Description
33 p.
This Web Annex accompanies the "Package of interventions for rehabilitation: Module 4 – Cardiopulmonary conditions" and documents the evidence review undertaken to support the development of rehabilitation interventions for cardiopulmonary conditions. It describes the literature search strategies used to identify clinical practice guidelines and Cochrane systematic reviews, the methods applied for guideline selection and appraisal, and the criteria used to determine the evidence included in the package. The annex also provides background information on the selected guidelines, including their target populations, scope, methodological characteristics, and approaches to grading the strength of recommendations and quality of evidence. The publication presents evidence tables linking rehabilitation assessments and interventions with recommendations from selected clinical practice guidelines for ischaemic heart disease and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. It summarizes evidence supporting interventions across multiple domains of rehabilitation, including clinical assessment, exercise training, respiratory and cardiovascular management, psychological support, lifestyle modification, vocational rehabilitation, assistive products, and patient education, together with corresponding recommendations and evidence ratings where available. By documenting the evidence base underpinning the Package of interventions for rehabilitation, the annex promotes transparency and supports the implementation of evidence-informed rehabilitation services for cardiopulmonary conditions.
