This publication presents the World Health Organization’s digital adaptation kit (DAK) for immunizations, developed within the SMART Guidelines framework to support the implementation of WHO immunization recommendations in digital systems. The document provides operational and software-neutral specifications intended to facilitate the translation of immunization guidance into interoperable digital health applications, particularly person-centred point-of-service systems and electronic immunization registries. It outlines the role of digital adaptation kits in strengthening digital health systems by improving the consistency, transparency and standardization of health content, workflows, data structures and decision-support logic used in immunization programmes. The publication also situates the DAK within broader digital health strategies and interoperability standards. The document describes eight core components of the immunization DAK, including health interventions and recommendations, generic personas, user scenarios, workflows, core data elements, decision-support logic, indicators and functional requirements.
