| dc.description | This publication presents the second edition of the WHO Rehabilitation Indicator Menu (RIM), a tool accompanying the Framework for Rehabilitation Monitoring and Evaluation (FRAME) within the WHO Rehabilitation in health systems: guide for action. The document supports countries in developing monitoring frameworks for rehabilitation strategic plans by providing a standardized set of indicators to assess rehabilitation within health systems. It describes the role of RIM in strengthening rehabilitation governance, financing, workforce, service delivery, information systems and population functioning, and explains how indicators can support monitoring, evaluation and policy development at national and subnational levels. The document includes 12 core indicators and 32 expanded indicators covering inputs, outputs, outcomes, impacts and health system attributes. For each indicator, detailed metadata are provided, including definitions, rationale, calculation methods, disaggregation options, measurement frequency and preferred data sources. The second edition was developed through review of WHO data systems, country experiences and expert consultation to harmonize rehabilitation monitoring approaches and improve comparability, feasibility and relevance across different country contexts. | |
