This web annex accompanies the WHO guidelines on the management of advanced HIV disease and summarizes declarations of interest submitted by members of the Guideline Development Group and the External Review Group involved in the guideline development process. Prepared in accordance with WHO procedures for guideline development and transparency, the document presents information on financial, institutional and intellectual interests disclosed by participating experts, including employment, consulting activities, research support, business interests, public statements and other relevant affiliations. The publication provides details on the composition of the expert groups, including regional and gender representation, and outlines the assessment and management of declared interests. For each participant, the annex specifies the nature of disclosed relationships, their relevance and significance, and any management actions applied, such as full participation or partial exclusion from specific recommendation discussions. The document also identifies circumstances in which comments or participation were interpreted in light of potential conflicts of interest. As a supporting technical annex, the publication contributes to the transparency, accountability and integrity of the WHO guideline development process for advanced HIV disease management.
