This meeting report summarizes the WHO Interactive Multistakeholder Hearing on Noncommunicable Diseases (NCDs) and Mental Health for Young Professionals, held virtually on 15 April 2025 as part of the preparatory process for the Fourth United Nations General Assembly High-level Meeting on NCD prevention and control and the promotion of mental health and well-being. The report outlines the global burden of NCDs and mental health conditions, emphasizing their social, economic and environmental determinants and the importance of multisectoral action, universal health coverage and primary health care approaches. It highlights the role of youth engagement in shaping policies and strengthening responses to NCDs and mental health challenges. The document presents the objectives, structure and outcomes of the hearing, including discussions on governance, health financing, integrated care, workforce development, digital innovation, health equity and community participation. Participants stressed the need to institutionalize youth participation in decision-making processes, strengthen intersectoral collaboration, improve access to services and ensure sustainable financing for prevention and care. The report concludes with recommendations focused on youth leadership, integrated and people-centred health systems, equitable financing, research and capacity-building, and action on the social determinants of health.
